Thanks for visiting my blog!
A few years ago I began a MS Word document saving thoughts about business that I read in magazines or heard people discussing. Being a business school grad that went directly into programming, I have always been fiercely interested in business strategy but usually sit on the outside of tactical decisions within an organization.
Over the years I have watched the transformation of tech geek into business mogul. Some of my role models include Jason Fried of 37Signals, Brad Feld of the Foundry Group and Joel Spolsky of Joel on Software fame. These guys have a unique understanding of business as it relates to technology and frequently write about issues such as software patents, workplace, work - life balance, venture funding, keeping things simple and much more.
One thing I have learned from my role models is that blogging serves 2 purposes: 1) facilitate conversation by adding to the content cloud and 2) writing out your ideas helps you think clearly about a topic. I recognize that there are many many business bloggers in the world and this blog will not receive many visitors. However, simply getting results from 2) above is worth the time and effort of writing.
Thanks again for visiting and I hope you leave your Comments.
